Welcome to Children’s Aid Nepal e.V. Mitterfels

Children’s Aid Nepal e.V. – Mitterfels, established in 1998 to participate in the poorest of the poor. Our association supports three children’s homes (NGO) in Kathmandu, makes child sponsorships possible and realizes education projects for the poorest parts of society with regular donations.

The houses, made out of straw and clay were built by the government in cooperation with “SOS Children villages Nepal” to provide these people a temporary home.

Here, the children are taught Nepali, English and Mathematics.

Besides the school lessons we also organize games and group activities for the children.

A “Mathematical race” in between the lessons makes for a change.

This is the room that the students visit for their daily education.
Understanding traditional family structures
While the parents are working, the big sister, also called “Didi”, takes care of her smaller siblings and manages the housework simultaniously. Therefore, we try to also integrate the big sisters in the education system.
